Are You A Candidate?

Important Points

There are two main things to consider when looking at if you are a candidate for bariatric surgery.

1) Insurance Paid Surgery
If your BMI is over 40 then your insurance will likely approve your procedure regardless of other health conditions.
If your BMI falls between 35-40, you will have to have at least one additional underlying health condition for your insurance to approve your operation.
If you have type 2 diabetes or obstructive sleep apnea, and your BMI is between
35-40, your insurance provider will likely pay for your operation.

2) Self Paid Surgery
If your BMI is greater than 35, or if your BMI is over 30 and you have type 2 diabetes, you will likely be approved for Self Pay.
